"What a picturesque back drop of snow capped mountains and a crystal blue lake, The Hide at Lake Hawea Station is a truely incredible location for a wedding and the setting of this beautiful wintry shoot. The Together Journal team travelled to this spectacular site on the shores of Lake Hawea, just 30 mins drive from Wanaka, in wedding imagery that also highlights the magical wintery scenery.

The Hide at Lake Hawea Station has been cleverly designed as a versatile outdoor events space where wedding parties can enjoy up to 3 Gather and Gold tipis on site, creating and relaxed and welcoming environment that works perfectly with the rugged landscape. For this stylish shoot, Kate Roberage did a wonderful job of capturing the natural beauty of the enchanting setting which is complemented by natural tones in the bridal and event styling. Chic dresses by NZ designers Julliet Hogan, Karen Walker Atelier and Brooke Tyson Ritual were well suited to radiant models Kiv King and Hunter Kawana, beautifully styled by Greta Kenyon. The soft colour palette of bridal fashion with smatterings of delicate florals made for suitably elegant looks that also featured hair and makeup by Liv King - truly a multi -hyphenate talent. Young Zelda was a perfectly pretty flower girl in charming outfits also by Brooke Tyson Ritual.

In a fitting nod to the stunning landscape, the floral colours for the bouquets and table arrangements were kept simple in white and green tones, with florist Amy Zareei from Little Botanica creating interesting shapes and utilising textural florals like hyacinth and tulips to create interest. Her elegant arrangements were a lovely fit for the neutural toned table scapes from Wanaka Marquee Hire and stylish chairs and pine stools from Gather and Gold. Subtle table linen from Drape Linen was a great base for modern crockery and tableware by Citta for Kappa and The Store. Classic stationary by Hey Lola completed the table offering a delightful finishing touch.

This graceful table styling would be easy to replicate for pretty much any wedding setting as neutrals and simple but chic tableware are always in style. And the same goes for incredible scenery, find a location with this kind of amazing views is always going to be a winner. The romance of a lakeside wedding has never looked more appealing."
